This page explains what I store when you take the interview, why, who helps process it, and how long it's kept.
Who is responsible
attabird, Henrik Pultz Melbye, Copenhagen, Denmark. CVR 41594950.
Write to hello@attabird.com with questions or to use your rights.
What I store, and why
- Your email address and language. So I can send you the interview link, one reminder if you haven't used it after three days, and your copy when you're done. The basis is that you asked for the interview (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- My newsletter about Fledge. When you open your link, your email address is added to my newsletter along with your language. You agreed to this when you signed up (Article 6(1)(a)). You can unsubscribe at the bottom of every email.
- Your answers and the copy you get. So the interview can ask the right questions and write your positioning sentence and the top of your homepage (Article 6(1)(b)).
- If you tick the box about improving Fledge. Then I keep your answers and use them to make Fledge better. Before I use them, I remove names and anything else that could point to you or your business. The basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw by writing to me.
- If you click "Yes, put me on the Fledge list". Then you get a tag on the newsletter list, so you hear first when Fledge is ready (Article 6(1)(a)).
- An encrypted fingerprint of your email address. Not the address itself, but enough to see whether an address has already had an interview, so each address gets one. The basis is my legitimate interest in limiting misuse (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Your IP address. Used by the hosting for operation and security, including limiting how many attempts can be made in a short time (Article 6(1)(f)).
Who helps process it
- Netlify runs the site. Your information is stored on Netlify's servers in the EU (Frankfurt), while the code itself runs in the US. The transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
- Anthropic provides Claude, which asks the questions and writes your copy. Your answers are sent to Anthropic in the US while the interview runs. The transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Anthropic doesn't use the answers to train its models.
- Brevo sends the three emails. Brevo is French and its servers are in the EU. Brevo keeps a log of sent emails for a short period. It doesn't record whether you personally open the email or click anything, but links in the email pass through Brevo's server.
- Kit runs the newsletter. Kit gets your email address and your tags (language and, if you chose it, early access), never your answers. Kit is in the US, and the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
I never sell your information or share it with anyone else.
How long it's kept
- Your interview (link, email address and the copy you got) is deleted after 7 days.
- Your answers without the box ticked are deleted as soon as your copy is written.
- Your answers with the box ticked stay on the server in Frankfurt for at most 30 days. Then they're moved to attabird in Copenhagen, kept for 6 months and deleted.
- The fingerprint of your email address is deleted after 12 months.
- The newsletter: your address stays on the list until you unsubscribe.
Cookies and statistics
The site uses no cookies and no statistics or tracking. The fonts are hosted on the site itself, so nothing is loaded from Google.
AI
The interview and your copy are made by Claude, an AI from Anthropic. No decisions are made about you. You get a suggestion for copy, and it's up to you whether to use it.
Your rights
You have the right to know what I've stored about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also have processing restricted, object to it, get your information handed over, and withdraw a consent. Write to hello@attabird.com.
Complaints
You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, datatilsynet.dk.
